By Car
Asti, in Piemonte, is roughly 1.100 kilometers from Dover. You can drive there in a day, but it takes quite some time and there better not be any delays at the MontBlanc- Frejus- or Gotthardtunnel. Coming through France traffic information in English (yes it seems incredible) is regularly provided on the autoroutes radio station. Coming through Germany you might want to book a hotel in South Germany or Switzerland. Or stay a night on the Gotthardpass, in Andermatt or Hospenthal ( www.andermatt.ch or www.hotel-gotthard.ch ). You can enjoy the great views, a cheese fondue and a cool night. The next morning you can be the first over the pass (for the aficionado’s) or take the tunnel while it’s still quiet on the road.

By plane
There are three International airports within reasonable distance of Asti. Turin is the closest and then there are Genoa and Milan. From Milan, Malpensa airport is the most convenient to arrive at and then continue your trip to Asti. The usual (low-cost) airlines fly to these airports. Please see the following airlines that have direct flights to these airports.
Turin airport: Aerlingus, British Airways, Easyjet and Ryanair
Milan – Malpensa airport: Alitalia, British Airways, Easyjet
Genoa airport: Ryanair
